The story of the serial revolves around a dark-toned girl, Sundari who has to face the social norms and traditional thoughts for her darker skin color.
Sundari, who comes from a lower-middle-class family is often judged for her skin colour by other fellow members of the village. However, she herself at times feels degraded by her color.
How will Sundari overcome the challenges of society and turn out to follow her passion will be seen in the story.
The show is a remake of the Kannada language serial Sundari which is telecasted on Udaya TV.
